Mountain Bay Airpark is a private airport located on the south side of Lake Wallenpaupack in the Pocono mountains. It has been around since the 1940's and local story tellers say it was used by Navy Corsairs for short field practice. Unicom frequency is 122.7 The runway is 2230 feet long (read short). Runway lights are lit from dusk to dawn, and the beacon can be activated with 5 clicks in 5 seconds on 122.7 Pilots wishing to use the facility are asked to send an email to: asplundh.eric@gmail.com There is a waiver form we ask you to fill out, sign and email to us. There are currently no fees for using the airport. There is no fuel and the airport is not attended, though there is usually a fair amount of activity going on.
